I have been lucky enough to meet some amazing people in my life. I pray my energy continues to attract those kinds of people. One person in particular, Mark Gonzales, whom I encourage you all to check out, is brilliant with words. I hope one day, he crosses your path, one way or another and leaves a print on your soul, the way he has for many others...

sunrise smile
you are sol sista with hair that dances to own melody
tangles and tangos between
beauty and tradition
wrap worlds around finger like eyes around visions
of those who want to be caught in the rhythm
of your sonrisa inferno...

flames flicker with
a quick twist like curve of hips
and light spreads across the earth's dance floor

let the world dance around your fire
till they learn to light their own..

in the meantime...
dare to move with your dreams
find the center of oblivion and carve
obsidian and turquoise earrings from memories of neglect
wear them with the respect
of survivor

stay life
and strength
keep smiling
